This is one of my everyday bags. It is extremely cute and fits my personality and since my old roommate just gave it to me for no reason at all, it reminds me that I always meet people willing to add something to my journey. So the contents ...

• My shades - always always always have a pair of shades in tow - these are my fav; pair of Gucci's I got NOT on sale a couple of years ago so I'm hanging on even though they are stretched a little.
• My index cards - I start my day w/affirmations and throughout the day I rewrite them over on index cards to keep them fresh on my mind.
• My Iphone - my life planner - it is like everything I need in the palm of my hand
• Checkbook - I use the same little cover thing I got when I was at the bank - I carry it bc I want a wallet and I need it in my bag so I can make sure the checkbook will fit into whatever wallet I buy.
• Small burgundy JALDA leather wallet - this was the first gift I ever got at a Golden Globes gift lounge - it reminds me to stay on my grind so I can get the "real" free stuff star status brings.
• Jo Malone perfume samples - I just checked her line out yesterday so the samples are still in my bag - smells soooooooo good!
• My keys - obvi - need them to go!
• 3 lipglosses and a liner - I don't wear much makeup and often remember right before I go somewhere that I am probably not wearing anything on my mouth. I carry 3: a regular everyday one (hot fudge sundae by CO Bigelow); and 2 better ones one in nude and one in a pinkish shade.
• Pen and pad - even though I have my iphone and can take notes there, sometimes things hit me and I need to just stop and write it down. I could use the notecards but sometimes they are profound thoughts so I use a notebook so that those random thoughts can all be in one place.
• Camera case - generally carry my dig cam w/me too - yep there's a phone on the iphone but I need flash/zoom, etc.
• Lighter - for those random occasions I need  to spark something on my way home.
• Mints - b/c fresh breath is always a winner :)

I've been checking this out for a while. The Bookbag is designed by Assouline and made by Cole Haan. The bag comes in three different shades; black, red and brown. Check it out here. This bag is definitely on the list of, "If you ever wanted to get me a gift and didn't know what to get me...I would be happy with this" :)

Sadly this week Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett passed away. Life is so precious and we often take the days for granted. Live life fully and completely. One of my most favorite quotes is by Ruslana Korshunova and it goes, "Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile."

I'm really lusting after this and this over at Urban Outfitters.

I still wonder...

where all the creative crafty people were before Etsy and I have still yet to come up with an answer. I found one of the most beautiful shops on Etsy, Zelaya. Their handbags and clothing are to die for.  Zelaya also specializes in working with natural and biodegradable fabrics. Check out their beautiful good for yourself here.

If you're a regular reader of tha Hotness then you know by now that I love beautiful packaging and branding. I stumbled across Madeline Bea Soap shop and fell in love with the simplicity of the packaging. I love the way the picture are styled, they almost seem vintage yet modern. I can only imagine with the products smell like. Take a look at the other lovely goodies here.

The Alchemist...

The other day I went to the bookstore because I had been lusting after a book to read, particularly this book. Needless to say that they didn't have the book that I'd been looking for. I had heard about The Alchemist but had never read it and I am glad that I did. I highly recommend this book.... It is INSPIRING to say the least. Get it! Read it! Enjoy it! Find out about your Personal Legend. Available for purchase in my little Amazon Bookstore here or anywhere books are sold, just get it. Have you read The Alchemist and if so what were your thoughts? What's on your Summer reading list?
